Lifelong Perry Resident Dies In Miami, Florida
Percy Clint Hardy died Thursday July 22 at the Veterans Hospital in Miami, Fla. after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Houston County and a veteran of World War II. A retired truck driver, he was a member of the Perry First Baptist Church.
Services were held at 4 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Rev. Dan Hodges officiated and interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Otis Whitten, Horace Braddock, Eugene Hardy, Hardy Reed, and D.N. Williamson and David Hardy.
He is survived by three sons: Amos Jackson Hardy, Kansas City, Mo., Floyd Ensley Hardy, Atlanta; Percy C. Hardy Jr., Warner Robins; four brothers, Alton H. Hardy and T.F. Hardy, both of Perry, Ranney Hardy of Perry, and Gaston Hardy of Macon; three sisters; Mrs. W.F. Fisher, Miami, Fla., Mrs. Ruth Irby, Perry, and Mrs. Hoke Reed of Pinehurst, Ga., and six grandchildren.
Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
