Willie R. Hardy, Sr.
Kathleen - Willie Romley Hardy, Sr., 77, died Wednesday in a Bleckley County hospital. Services were held Thursday in the chapel of Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. Burial was in the Perry Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Louise B. Hardy of Kathleen; two daughters, Mrs. Bill Carmichael of Coos Bay, Ore. and Mrs. Jim Smith of Tallahassee, Fla.; seven sons, W.R. Hardy, Jr. and Doug Hardy, both of Atlanta, Calvin Hardy of Reynolds, Donnie Hardy of Pittsburgh, Pa., Eddie Hardy and Carl Hardy, both of Kathleen, and Kenneth Hardy of Byron; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Irby of Perry and Mrs. Hoke Reed of Pinehurst; three brothers, Alton Hardy and T.F. Hardy, both of Perry, and R.G. Hardy of Eatonton; 25 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
