She is survived by son, Paul Cox and wife Sherry; grand daughters, Susan Golden and Dawn Cox; great-grandchildren, Ryan Golden, Jordan Cox, Samantha and William Golden all of Poway, CA; sisters, Reva Walker of Clinton, Reba Owens and husband Charles of Hermitage, TN; brothers, Elmer McFarland of Oklahoma City, Cecil McFarland and wife Ann of Hermitage, Ralph McFarland and wife Sue of Clinton and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Cox worked at Magnet Mills until it closed and later worked at the Big Dipper Restaurant along side her friend, Aileen Ogle for many years. She was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church of Clinton as long as her health permitted her attendance.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Golden Ages Living Center for their loving care of Mrs. Cox during her residence there. At Mrs. Cox's request, there will be a graveside service on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 2:00PM at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton with her pastor Dr. Mike Thompson presiding. Her body will be at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton prior to the graveside service.
