Sephie Leon McFarland, age 95, of Clinton, died Friday. Mrs
McFarland was a member of Second Baptist Church. She was the
last of 14 brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her
parents; John and Maggie Triplett Edmonds; husband, John
McFarland; and son, Herbert McFarland. Survivors include
daughters; Madge Howard of Cleveland, Ruth Graham of Clinton,
Florence Cox and husband Everett of Clinton, and twin daughters,
Reba and husband Charles Owens of Hermitage and Reva Walker
of Clinton; sons and daughters-in-law, Elmer and Gertrude McFarland of Salida, CA, Boyd and Kirbaleen McFarland of Knoxville, the Rev Cecil and Ann Marie McFarland of Crossville, and Ralph and Sue McFarland of Clinton; 35 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 14 great great grandchildren. Funeral sevice was Sunday in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home chapel with the Rev Jim McPherson and the Rev Gary Swaggerty officiating. Graveside service was Monday in Sunset Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
