Alvina Abler, 88, of N8030 Church Road, St. Peter, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1993, at St. Agnes Hospital.
She was bom Feb. 25, 1904, in Johnsburg, a daughter of Henry and Anna Schmitz Sabel.

On Sept. 5, 1927, she married Alois C. Abler at St. John's Catholic Church in Johnsburg.
Mrs. Abler owned and, operated a farm with her husband in St. Peter until retiring in 1968. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Peter, and the church's Altar and Rosary Society.

Survivors include two daughters, Sister Anne Abler, S.S.S.F., of Milwaukee and Sister Marie Abler, S.S.S.F., of St. Peter; two sons, Francis and his wife Mary of Pelican Lake, and Leo and his wife Joan of Bakersfield, Calif; 10 grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchirdren; one sister, Priska Diederichs and her husband Albert of St. Peter; and one brother, Roman Sabel and his wife Ella of Fond du Lac.
Preceding her in death were her husband on June 28, 1983; two daughters; one son; one grandson; two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at Zacherl Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St Peter's Catholic Church, St. Peter. The Rev. William M. Heffron will officiate. Burial will be althe-parish cemetery.
Visitation-is-from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
