Priska Diederichs, 92, of St. Peter, died unexpectedly on Saturday evening, March 27, 1999, at her home.

She was born on May 27, 1906, in Johnsburg, a daughter of Henry and Anna Schmitz Sabel.

On May 3, 1927, she married Albert Diederichs at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg.

After their marriage, the couple farmed in the Johnsburg area until retiring and moving to St. Peter in 1957. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society

Survivors include her husband of 72 years. Albert of St. Peter; one daughter, Edna (Donald) Nadler of Chilton; three sons, Melvin (Rita) of Mount Calvary, Jerome (Joan) of Fond du Lac and Gerald (Bernice) of Malone; 17 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters-in-law, Sedonia Sabel of St. Peter and Ella Sabel of northern Wisconsin.

Preceding her in death were five brothers and three sisters.

Services: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Huss Funeral Home in St. Cloud and at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Catholic Church in St. Peter. The Rev. Jerome Wagner, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at the parish cemetery.

Visitation: From 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m.

A memorial fund in her name has been established.
