Serva Sabel
Serva Sabel, 92, of Johnsburg, died Saturday morning at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac, after a brief illness.

He was born Feb. 19, 1889, at Johnsburg, son of Henry and Anna Schmitz Sabel.

He attended Johnsburg Catholic Grade School.

On March 31, 1937, he married Margaret Munch at Johnsburg. The couple farmed in the Johnsburg area until their retirement.

Mr. Sabel formerly served as a janitor for Johnsburg Church. The couple lived at Villa Loretta Nursing Home, Mt. Calvary, for the past three years.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg, and its Holy Name Society.

Survivors are his wife; three sisters, Mrs. William Kohlmann of Sheboygan, Mrs. Alois Abler and Mrs. Albert Diederichs, both of St. Peter, and three brothers, Gregor and Roman, both of Fond du Lac, and Hugo of St. Peter.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

A funeral Mass will be of: fered at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg, by the Rev. Walter Orzechowski, pastor. The Mass will be preceded by family rites at 10:15 a.m. at Huss Funeral Home, St. Cloud. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. A parish vigil will be held there at 8 tonight.
