He is buried in Guiceland Cemetery. Their sons, Benjamin F. Ashley, Joyal Clyde Ashley, Martin Luther Ashley and Roger Coy Ashley, and daughter, Ila Mae Ashley Scott, are also buried in Ferguson Cemetery. They were also the parents of James Arthur Ashley (their oldest son)and John Wesley Ashley(3rd to the youngest). John Wesley is buried in the Dallas-Ft. Worth National cemetery in Grand Prairie.
