Mrs. Ida Laforce Abare, 74, died early Saturday morning in a local hospital after a short illness.
She was born in Peru N.Y. April 1, 1880, daughter of Edward and Sophrona LaForce.
Besides her husband, Emery Abare, she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Katherine Derouchie, Mrs. Ethel Barrows, and Mrs. Helen Goulette, all of Burlington; two sons, Arthur of Charlotte, and Carlton of Shelburne; 19 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lydia Myers and Mrs. Catherine Shortsleeves of Burlington, Mrs. Mabel Dart of Brattleboro, one brother, William LaForce of Corapolis, Pa.
Funeral services will be held this morning at 10:30 in the Catholic church in Charlotte. Interment will follow in the Catholic Cemetery in East Charlotte. Until the hour of the services, the body will remain at the Ready Funeral Home, 71 Cherry St. Arrangements are by George W. Ready.
