Mabel M. Dartt, 87, of 10 Champlain St. died Thursday morning at Fanny Allen Hospital. She was born in Peru, N.Y., March 17, 1892, the daughter of Edward and Sophronia (Bissonette) LaForce. Mrs. Dartt was a former longtime resident of Hinesburg. She was the widow of Stanley M. Dartt who died in 1947.She was employed for many years as a telephone operator and was later employed with the Brattleboro Retreat. Mrs. Dartt was a member of the Cathedral Parish. Survivors include one son, Leland S. Dartt, of Essex Junction, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Merritt E. and Donald A. Dartt. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with interment to follow in Grand Isle Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ready Funeral Home South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Road.
