Maggie had a brief first marriage to Ruben Sidney McCoy which resulted in one son, Homer McCoy. About 1907 she married Marion T Fennell and they were married until his death in 1952. They did not have any children. Sometime after Marion's death she married G. R. Butler.

Paris News, 30 Oct 1960, Deaths and Funerals: "Mrs. G. R. Butler: Mrs. Maggie Palmer Butler, wife of G.R. Butler, 115 George Wright Homes, died Friday about 10 p.m. at Lamar medical Center, after being ill some time. She was born in Birmingham, Ala., November 30, 1888. Surviving besides her husband are a son by a former marriage, Homer McCoy, Paris; five grandchildren, a brother Led (sic, should be Leed) Palmer, Mineral Wells, and a sister, Mrs. Laura Middleton, Bridgeport. The funeral will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Gene Roden & Sons chapel , and interment made in Union Grove Cemetery, east of town."
