Sarah was born in St Clair County Alabama and is the daughter of Clarissa Garrett and Calvin Cox. She married James Andrew Palmer on 5 Mar 1865 in Jefferson County Alabama. They migrated west about 1890 to work in the coal mines at Thurber Texas and settled near Bridgeport in Wise County Texas. They also lived some time in Parker Co Texas. At the time of her death, she was living with her daughter, Laura, in Bridgeport.

M. and Vela. Minnie and her husband last appear in the 1930 census in Kern Co, CA. Whereabouts of her death are unknown at this time. Update: Minnie's husband's death record has been found and he died 18 Jun 1930 in Yolo County, California.
Mahaley "Halie" J Palmer (born Jun 1877) married Andrew Broomfield and had 3 children, Bertha, Noble and Nora. Halie and Andrew divorced. In the 1910 census she is a widow with the surname of Anderson and living with her parents in Parker Co Texas. Whereabouts of her death are unknown at this time.
