"William H. Palmer, 78 years old, died in a local hospital yesterday from injuries received when he stumbled and fell last Tuesday on the sidewalk near his home, 307 East Virginia Avenue.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
A native of Birmingham, Ala., Mr. Palmer moved to Arizona 27 years ago and operated a ranch near Scottsdale until age compelled him to retire.
He is survived by four sons, L.E., George C. and Lawrence Palmer, all of Phoenix, and Arthur Palmer in France with the U.S. Army, and a daughter, Mrs. Eulala Thornton, Peoria. "
