Hjalmer A. Erickson, 87, 507 S. Blauvelt Ave., died Tuesday at Mom and Dad's Nursing Home.

He was born Sept. 2, 1892, in Deuel County, S.D. He married Jennie C. Hugos Dec. 23, 1918, near Toronto, S.D.
The couple farmed in the Astoria-Toronto area until 1947 when they moved to Sioux Falls. He then worked at Speedy Manufacturing and Lumberman's Supply until retiring in 1958.

Survivors include two sons, Hiram, Toronto, Amos, Sioux Falls; seven daughters, Mrs. Doris Rolfson, Mrs. Bernice Thompson, Mrs. Mavis Wildeboer, all of Sioux Fa1ls, Mrs. Amy Hannum , North Hollywood, Calif., Mrs. DiAnn Klinghagen, Lennox, S.D., Mrs. Betty Lambert, Fullerton, Calif. , Mrs. Janice Madden, La Mirada, Calif.; 27
grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Dorenoe, Duluth, Minn.; five
sisters, Mrs. Hulda Hendrickson, Wilmar, Minn., Mrs. Alice Hendrickson, Iklee, Minn., Mrs. Hilma Torgerson, Van Nuys, Calif., Mrs. Nora Schultz, Rochester, Minn., Mrs. Alma Thorson, Duluth, Minn.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Leganger Lutheran Church in Toronto. Visitation will be 7 p.m . Wednesday
at the George Boom Funeral Home. Prayer service will be 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will
be in the Toronto cemetery.
