Mavis Caroline Erickson was born Jun. 10, 1934 at Toronto, SD, the daughter of Hjalmer and Jennie (Hugos) Erickson. She grew up in this area until moving to Sioux Falls, where she attended Washington High School.

On Jul. 6, 1956 she was united in marriage to Donald Wildeboer at Canton, SD.

The couple made their home in Sioux Falls. Mavis worked as a waitress at Walt and Mary's Restaurant for 19 years and most recently in housekeeping at John Morrell Co. for 12 years.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Amy Hannum and Doris Rolfson and one brother Norris Erickson.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Donald; one son Earl Wildeboer and his wife, Tetyana of Sioux Falls; Linda Wildeboer and Karen Rederth both of Sioux Falls; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters: Bernice Thompson, Sioux Falls, Betty Lambert and her husband, Burt, Diamond Bar, CA, Janice Madden and her husband, Bill, Las Vegas, NV and Diane Klinghagen, Lennox; two brothers: Hiram Erickson and his wife, Nellie, of Hendricks, MN and Amos Erickson and his wife, Marlene, of Sioux Falls.
