Eva was born on June 3, 1870 in Brooklyn, New York and had a brother George. Her parents were George and Margrett (nee Heffling) Michel. She moved to Cleveland, Ohio with her parents in 1880 when she was 10. Eva moved to Erie, PA with her parents in 1892.
Eva was 22 when she married Frank Bernhard Duesler, he was 21, on Oct. 15, 1892 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Erie.
She came back to Cleveland with Frank and they were living at 95 Grand Ave. -- listed in the city directory with William & Carrie Duesler in 1892.
She had nine children - the first when she was 23 and the last at age 44 in 1914.
(Francis John died as an infant 6/12/1908).
She and Frank had been married 48 years & living in the family home on 2319 E. 90th St. when he passed away on Jan. 31. 1941 at home at the age of 69. Eva died died six years later at home at the age of 76 on March 9, 1947 from breast cancer and heart failure.
Living with her was her daughter Daisy and son-in-law Ed Berigan and her grandchildren Jim & Jan.
Eva is buried in Sec. 79, lot 495 at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio. The 1900 census lists her father George Michel living with them on 90th St. & he died there in 1924.
Eva was very pretty as a young woman with light brown hair, blue eyes & about 5' tall.
Besides raising her family she was a great cook and baker and loved quilting.
She and Frank enjoyed playing cards and taught all their children to play.
She had thirteen grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Her fourth child Isabel, born in Oct. 1899 lived to be 101 years old & passed away Dec. 28, 2000 in Clifton, NJ.

EVA DUESLER, widow of Frank B. Duesler, residing at 1365 E. 90th St. Cleveland where she passed away at home on March 9, 1947 at 9:25 am from a cerebral thrombosis, chronic myocarditis due to hypertension at age 76 yrs, 9 mos, 6 days. Interment at Calvary Cemetery on March 12, 1947.
Informant was daughter Daisy M. Berigan of same address. She reported that Eva was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 3, 1870. Her parents were George Michel and Margaret Miehle, both born in Germany.
