George was born in Feb. 1837 in Wurzburg, Germany. His father was George Michel and his mother is unknown.
He and Margrett Heffling, (spelled Joefling on the ship's passenger list) both at the age of 30, immigrated to America leaving on the ship "America" from Bremen and arrived in New York on Mar. 11, 1867.
They settled in Brooklyn, NY where they married about 1868/1869. Eva was born in 1870, George was born in 1872.
George appeared in the Brooklyn city directory as a mason living on 721 Flushing Ave. in 1873/1874 & in 1874/1875 on 233 Floyd.
They had been married about 26 years when Margrett died Oct. 25, 1894 in Cleveland. They were living at 158 Grand Ave. at that time. He worked in the building trade as a stonemason & plasterer.
George is buried in Sec. 50, Grave 124, RG 14 at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland along with Margrett, daughter Eva and grandson Allen.

GEORGE MISHEL [MICHEL], residence 1365 W. 90th St, Cleveland, passed away at home on Jan. 10, 1924 from cardiac failure due to arteriosclerosis at age 86y, 11m. Burial at Calvary Cemetery, Jan. 12th.
Informant was daughter Eva Duesler of same address. She listed he was born Feb. 1837 in Germany. Father was George Mishel of Germany, mother unknown.
