John was 7th of nine children of Frank & Eva Duesler. He had siblings Joe, Daisy, Allen, Isabel, George, Gladys, Francis & Mary. According to daughter Evelyn & son Ralph, his first name was Gordon but he always went by his middle name of John.
He married Margaret Evelyn O'Neil, known as Peg, about 1935 in Youngstown, OH.
They lived there for some years and son Ralph was born in Aug. 1937. Peg was 38 when she passed away on March 11, 1947 at Youngstown Hospital from liver cancer which she had for 14 months.
After Peg's death, he returned to Cleveland with son Ralph where he worked as a machinist making auto and airplane parts. John, who was then 39, married Mary Rowerstein on Oct. 9, 1948 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church (she was a widow, 36, with two children.)
He was 43 when his daughter Evelyn was born in 1952.
John was a good looking man about 5'10" tall with brown hair and brown eyes.
They had been married 36 years when Mary died May 9, 1984 at age 71. John was visiting his sisters in Ft. Lauderdale, FL when he had a heart attack while driving his car and died at Memorial Hospital in Hollywood at the age of 76.
He & Mary are buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio in Sec. 12, Lot 1347, Graves 1 & 2.
Ironically, the brothers died in order of birth, Joe first at 64 in 1957, then Allen at 62 in 1959, then George at 58 in 1960 and last was John at 76 in 1986 -- who lived the longest.
