Frank was born in Vienna, New York on May 14, 1871 and had two sisters Kate & Daisy, one brother Willard and a half-brother Alonzo and moved to Cleveland, Ohio with his parents in Sept. 1879 when he was 9. His parents were William and Caroline (nee Bernhard) Duesler.
He first appeared in the city directory in 1890 as a carpenter living at 95 Grand Ave. with his parents.
Frank was 21 when he married Eva Michel, she was 22, on Oct. 15, 1892 at St. Joseph's Church in Erie, PA. They were married by a Rev. B. Klecker.
The family appeared in the 1900, 1910, 1920 & 1930 Cleveland census & the 1940 Akron census.
They lived in several houses until they bought a house at 1365 E. 90th (between Superior & Wade Park) in 1920 where they both lived until their deaths.
Frank was 22 when his first child, Joe, was born in 1893 and 43 when his last child, Mary, was born in 1914. He had four sons, Joe, Allen, George & John & four daughters, Daisy, Isabell, Gladys and Mary.
Frank started at U.S. Rubber as a foreman and became a superintendent before he retired about 1936. He enjoyed sports & played team baseball for the Rubber Co. After his retirement he was a night watchman in Akron. Frank enjoyed sports and playing cards.
Frank was a good lookin young man with brown eyes and light brown hair. In a picture taken in 1934 he looks to have lost most of his hair, was on the portly side and was about 6' tall.
Frank & Eva had been married 49 years and were living in the 90th St. house when he died Jan. 31, 1941 at the age of 69 from broncho pneumonia and arteriosclerosis.
He is buried at Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Hts, Ohio - Sec. 17, Lot 56 along with his son and daughter-in-law, Joe & Marie. Eva died 6 years later on March 9, 1947 & is buried at Calvary Cemetery. He had eleven grandchildren.
