Vera Agnes Moran Davis, 85, of Green County, Ky., died on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at the Georgetown Manor in Louisville, Ky. Daughter of the late Joseph Daniel Moran and Melinda Francis Wright, she was born on May 2, 1919, in Green County. She was of the Separate Baptist faith and was a member of the Nolyn Association. Davis was a former employee of Brown-Williamson Tobacco Co., where she worked as a cellophane boxer operator for 24 years. She was married to Rollin "Johnny" Davis on Oct. 14, 1939. He preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1994. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Rollin D. and Scotland Davis of MacClenny, Fla., and Stanley S. and Judith A. Davis of Louisville; three granddaughters and one grandson, Tanna Mosier and Debra Darnell, both of Indiana, Wendy L. Davis and Stephen S. Davis, both of Louisville; one step-grandson, Ricky Harvey of Florida; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and one step-great-great-grandchild. Davis was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters, Lonnie Moran, Avery Moran, Dora Moran Bloyd, Alverda Moran, Flossie Moran, Wilmer Moran, Cecil Moran, Ora Moran Judd and Roy Morgan; eight half-brothers and sisters, Denthia Moran Price, Tom Moran, Lester Moran, Sherman Moran, Rob Moran and three as infants. Funeral was Saturday, March 12 at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. The Revs. Keith Sullivan and Garnett Wayne Davis officiated. Burial was in Oak Grove Nolyn Association Cemetery. Pallbearers were Todd Bloyd, Alan Bishop, Scotty Davis, Rex Davis, Harold Moran and Robert Davis.
