Formerly of Frankfort, Mrs. Pickering was a laboratory technician at Delco Electronics, Kokomo, and retired from there. She was a 1940 graduate of Frankfort High School and a member of First Baptist Church. She moved to Greentown, then to Florida in 1992.
She was born Nov. 8, 1926 in Delphos, Ohio to Floyd Edgar and Sara Ellen (Timmons) Galey. She married Thomas Pickering, and he died in June 1986.
She is survived by her mother of Frankfort; two sons, Jerry Snell of Fruitland Park and Steven Snell of Greentown; a daughter, Barbara Long of Vincennes; three sisters, Florence Keller, of Indianapolis, Barbara Snell of Kirklin and Mary Smither of Speedway; and five grandchildren.
