She was born Oct. 2, 1928 in Frankfort, a daughter of Floyd Edgar and Sarah Ellen (Timmons) Galey.
A former resident of Greentown, Mrs. Bland moved to Buffalo in 1981. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Frankfort She attended Arsenal Technical High School In Indianapolis.
Surviving are three sons, Harold E. and Gary I. Bland, both of Indianapolis, and Gregory F. Bland of Kentucky; a daughter, Marcia D. Pearson of Camden; her mother of Frankfort; four sisters, Thelma Pickering of Greentown, Mary Smither and Florence Keller, both of Indianapolis, and Barbara Snell of Kirklin; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
