Violet was born December 11, 1926, in Effingham the daughter of Rufus and Lonnie (George) Shadwell.
She was retired from Kimball Glass Company of Vineland, New Jersey.
Surviving are her daughters; Susan Howell, Margaret Summers and Kathryn Collier, all of Benton, Illinois, and Terri Chonka of Corpus Christi, Texas; a sister Dorothy Lewis of Watson, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Cecil and Herbert Shadwell; and four sisters, Goldie, Elva, Delores and Vera.
