Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham, Illinois, with visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Burial will be in the Funkhouser Cemetery. Mr. Shadwell was born in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Rufus and Lonnie Shadwell.
He was a construction laborer.
Surviving are his sons, Martin of Westville, Indiana, Cecil Jr. of Shelbyville, Mark Edward of Mattoon; daughters Betty Tucker and Mr. Richard (Janet) Lee of Cotton Plant, Arkansas, Tina Marie of Chicago; sisters, Dorothy Lewis of Watson, Violet Jonnine of West Frankfort, Sarah Shadwell; and nine grandchildren.
One brother and several sisters preceded him in death.
