Mrs. Clara Baldwin

Mrs. Clara Baldwin of Milford died September 27 at the Wheeler Nursing Home in Oneonta, where she had been a patient for nearly two years. She was 85 years old.

Mrs. Baldwin was born in Westford December 6, 1864, daughter of Horace and Lena Milks. She was twice married. Her first husband was Edward P. Nellis, to whom she was married in 1883. He died in 1896. She was married to Jacob Baldwin in 1913. He died December 22, 1949.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. M.B. Dewey, Milford and a son, Jesse L. Nellis, Schenevus; two grandchildren, Byron N. Dewey, East Aurora, and Mrs. E.J. Butler, Rochester, and six great-grandchildren.

She had lived in Elk Creek, Westville and Milford. She was a member of the Westville Methodist Church and a former member of the Westville Grange.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturdayy at the Tillapaugh Funeral Home in Milford, with the Rev. Philip Pitcher, pastor, and the Rev. wilber Dodge, retiring pastor, of the Milford Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Westville. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday night.
