Jack Oller
Jack J. Oller, 70, died at 9:07 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2000, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born September 22, 1930, in Morrisonville, he was a son of the late Henry and Vera (Nussman) Oller.
He was employed by Wells-Schmidt Auto Center in Wood River and later at Helmkamp Construction as a vehicle service technician before retiring in 1985. He had been a member of Teamsters Local 525.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Jackie and Patti Oller of Granite City and David and Jill Oller of Roxana, a daughter Sharon Oller of Hobart, Indiana; two grandchildren, Paul Oller of Alton and Brandi Oller of Peoria; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Bob Oller of Alton, Karl and Dee Oller of Roxana and Oscar and Lois Oller of Wood River; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Peggy Scherff of Bethalto and Shirley and Everett Brangenberg of Charlotte, Michigan; his former wife, Louise Oller of Roxana, and special family friends, Linda Smith, Amy Standefer and Diana Leidner.
A daughter, Sandy Oller, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Chuck Overton.
Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
