Mrs. Clarice L. Dukes, 78, died Thursday (September 13, 2012) at Mayo Clinic Health Systems of Waycross following a short illness.
Mrs. Dukes was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County and a member of Indian Mound Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.
She was a daughter to the late David Archie Morgan and Ada Bennett Morgan. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Myrtle Lee Taft; three sisters, Allie Mae Joyner, Florence Clark, and Josephine Sutton; five brothers, Claude Morgan, Tommy Morgan, Bobby Morgan, Johnny Morgan and Jerome Morgan.
She is survived by four children, Susan Dukes (husband Jimmy) of Waresboro, Deborah Leavens (husband Ray) of Axson, Kendall Taft (wife Debra) of Waresboro, and David Taft (wife Dorothy) of Waresboro; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two brothers, Rev. Fred Morgan (wife Earnestine) of Manor and Raymer Morgan of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday (September 15, 2012) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Hargraves Chapel Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock.
