Claude William Morgan, 59, died this morning at his home after a long illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Ware County, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and the son of the late Archie Morgan.
He is survived by his mother, Ada Bennett Morgan, Waycross; two daughters, Anita Mancil, Millwood, and Pamela Barber, Waycross; three sons, Jeffery Morgan, Carlton Morgan, and Deryl Morgan, all of Waycross; four sisters, Clarice Dukes and Florence Clark, both of Waresboro, Allie Mae Joyner, Millwood, and Josephine Sutton, Pearson; four brothers, the Rev. Fred Morgan, Nicholls, Jerome Morgan, Pearson, Johnny Morgan, Millwood, and Raymer Morgan, Waycross, and three grandchildren.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Miles-Odum Funeral Home.

Funeral for Claude William Morgan, 59, is scheduled at 3 p.m. today at the Mount Green Church of God of Prophecy. Burial will be at the Hargraves Cemetery, it was reported by Miles-Odum.
