OBITUARY

Allie Mae Morgan Joyner, 86, died Wednesday night (Jan. 5, 2011) at Satilla Care Center after an extended illness.
She was a native of and lived most of her life in Ware County at Millwood.

She was a member of Indian Mound Baptist Church.
She was born Feb. 20, 1924 to the late David Archie Morgan and Ada Bennett Morgan. She was the wife of the late Johnny Joyner. She was also preceded in death by three sons, Kenneth Joyner, Steve Joyner and Luke Joyner, one son-in-law, Junior Sears, five brothers, Claude Morgan, Tommy Morgan, Bobby Morgan, Johnny and Jerome Morgan, and one sister, Josephine Sutton.

She was a farmer's wife who loved the country way of life … farming, gardening and raising her chickens and other animals as long as she was able. Her family loved all those wonderful, home-cooked meals. Their mother experienced much heartache and grief in her life, but she overcame by her confidence and faith in God.

Joyner Survivors include one daughter, Rena Mae Merritt (Rufus), of Waycross; two sons, Roger Joyner (Marina), of Jamestown, and Hank Joyner Sr., of Millwood; nine grandchildren, Paul Sears (Gina), Tommy Sears (Sabrina), Angel Murray (George), Paula Haggard (Everett), Dale Joyner (Tracy), Carlos Joyner, Lindsay Thomas (Dustin), Hank Joyner Jr. and Ashli Joyner; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Florence Clark and Clarice Dukes, both ofWaresboro; two brothers, Raymer Morgan, of Waycross, and the Rev. Fred Morgan (Ernestine) of Manor; one sister-in-law, Debbie Joyner Musgrove, of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Hargraves Cemetery in Millwood.

The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

A funeral for Allie Mae Morgan Joyner took place Saturday morning in the Music Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clayton Davis and the Rev. Fred Morgan officiating.
Burial was in Hargraves Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Paul Sears, Tommy Sears, Carlos Joyner, Hank Joyner Jr., Kevin Sears, Dale Joyner, Luke Joyner and Ryan Brantley.
