Mr. Raymer Morgan, 85, died Wednesday (December 24, 2014) at Waycross Health and Rehabilitation following long illness. He was a native of Millwood and had lived most of his life in Ware County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Ardellia Corbitt Morgan; a daughter, Jeanell Alice Morgan; his parents, David Archie Morgan and Ada Bennett Morgan; his sisters, Florence Clark, Clarice Dukes, Allie Mae Joyner, Josephine Sutton and his brothers, Bobby Morgan, Jerome Morgan, Johnny Morgan, Claude Morgan and Tommy Morgan. He was a former employee of Pet Dairy, a farmer and worked for 12 years with Cauley Meat Packing Company. He formerly attended Mt. Green Church of God of Prophecy. He loved to fish. Survivors include, a daughter, Kay Diane Morgan of Waycross; a son, Ralph Darrell Morgan of Waycross; four grandchildren, Allyson Briola (husband Steven), Angela Sweat (husband Ryan), Holly Morgan and Adam Morgan (fiancée Katrina Anderson) all of Waycross; six grandchildren, Christopher Briola, Tessa Briola, Kerrigan Sweat, Cash Sweat, Isiah Morgan and Lashawn Dixon; a brother, Rev. Fred Morgan of Manor and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday (December 26, 2014) at Mt. Green Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the Cemetery Friday from 2 until 3. Music Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
