Tony, of Lower San Pedro Road, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by parents Melecio Fresquez and Braulia Ortiz of San Pedro (Braulia was originally from Chimayo); brother Melecio Fresquez; sisters; Lugarda Lujan and Gilda Quintana.

Tony was survived by his wife of 62 years, Lourdes Borrego Fresquez of the family home; children: Bernice Life (Pat Chavez), Melecio Fresquez (Veronica), Mary Ann Abeyta(Fofo), Mary Ellen Blea (Rick), and Eva Abeyta (Joe), all of San Pedro; grandchildren: Diana Life (Joe Romero), Roy Life (Tanya Carrasco), Jason Life, Roland Life (Gabriella Florez), Michael Life (Megan Miller), Kristiana Abeyta (Elias Salazar), Rhiannon Abeyta, Andrew Trujillo, Joe P. Abeyta III, Adrian Abeyta, Esteban Abeyta, Elena Abeyta, and Anna Abeyta; great-grandchildren: Joanna Romero, Kiana Romero, Matix Life, Jennifer Life, Lourdes Life, Roland Life Jr., and Estevan Salazar; siblings: Amanda Rolfes (Raymond) of Belmont, California, Amelia Sisneros of Albuquerque, Ben Fresquez (Erma) of San Pedro, and Angelina Romero of San Pedro; and many nieces and nephews.

Tony was an amazing brother, cousin, uncle, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and man. He was the most happy, patient, carefree, person one could meet. All who knew him, loved him; and he respected everyone. He retired from Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) after 43 years. He loved all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and especially loved being part of their lives. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, and walking his beloved dog Poncho. He was an early member of the Knights of Columbus.

Public visitation and Rosary were on September 10, 2012 at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Mass of the Resurrection was on September 11, 2012 at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial followed at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers: Roy Life, Jason Life, Roland Life, Andrew Trujillo, Michael Life, Joe P. Abeyta III, Adrian Abeyta, and Esteban Abeyta. Honorary Pallbearers: Roger Life, Fofo Abeyta, Rick Blea, Joe P. Abeyta Jr., Joe Romero, Diana Life, Rhiannon Abeyta, Pat Chavez, and Eugene Fresquez.
