Ben F. Frésquez, age 88, a resident of San Pedro, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020.
Ben was preceded in death by his father, Melecio B. Frésquez and mother, Braulia Ortiz Frésquez, daughter, Yvette Marie Archuleta, sisters, Lugarda Luján, Gilda Quintana and Amanda Rolfes, and brother, Tony Frésquez
Ben is survived by his wife, Eremita "Erma" María Frésquez of the family home, sisters, Amelia Sisneros and Angelina Romero, children, Marian Martínez (Fabian), Bennie “Jet” Frésquez (Cathy), Rocky Frésquez (Pam), Madeline Lovato (Rudy), Gene Frésquez (Judy), Edwina Holmes (Oliver) and Marshall Frésquez (Monica), surviving grandson, Christopher J. Archuleta, 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Ben was drafted to the United States Army in 1951, was deployed to Korea and later returned to the family, where he met his beloved wife, Erma and was married for 67 years.
Ben retired from the United States Postal Service in Los Alamos, where he served 38 years of service. Ben continued his hobbies of gardening and raising livestock. Ben lived a fulfilling life with extraordinary accomplishments that have inspired all that had the honor of knowing him, with his strong presence, caring heart and willingness to help a person in need. His most cherished gift is how he lived for his family and friends.
Ben will forever rest in peace.
Assisting the family as pallbearers are Mario Martínez, Rico Bustos, Dominic Frésquez, Jesse Frésquez, Christopher Archuleta and Edgerrin García. Honorary Pallbearers are Nigel Trujillo, Ben Frésquez, Joshua Frésquez, Sean Archuleta and Zachary Urioste. Private funeral services will be held for immediate family.
