Sophia (63) was the daughter of Abigail Porter and Timothy Hatch. Her maternal grandparents were Moses Porter and Sara Kilham of Pawlet, Vermont
She married 1st husband, Abel⁷ NOYES (Moses⁶, Joseph⁵, ⁴, ³, Rev James ², Rev. William¹). Sophia married 2nd husband, Isaac Van Vleck HIBBARD (1789-1869).

2. Charles Augustus Noyes⁸ Sr. b. 3 Sep 1812, Cooperstown, Owsego, New York; d. 25 Nov 1881, Lake Geneva, Walworth, Wisconsin m. Jan. 23, 1837 in Milwaukee, WI to Nancy Page Warren. They were the first recorded marriage in Walworth Co., Wisconsin Children: Helen Augusta, Mary Elizabeth, Charles Augustus, Jr. Charles was his mother, Sophia's caretaker until her death.(my 3rd great grandparents )

3. Sophia Hatch Noyes b. July 5, 1814 d. July 5 1896 m. David B. Hinsdell at Pompey Hill, Onondaga County, NY, April 11, 1839 , son of Moses Hinsdell and Rachel Hibbard. She helped raise my 3rd Gt. grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Noyes, dau. of her brother, Charles Augustus Noyes after his wife, Nancy Page Warren died. Sophia and David had children of their own: Sarah Elizabeth; Henry David and twin Carrie Hinsdale, and Charles Augustus.

4. Eliza Noyes b. Dec. 1, 1816 d. Jun 23, 1875 in Roscoe, Winnebago, IL m. 1834 Dan Rowe, son of Ebenezer Rowe, who was b. May 26, 1813 and died Feb. 3, 1878 They had 10 children: Charles, Mary Sophia, John Henry, George Augustus, Jane Rowe, William Clark, Asa Charles, Edward, Emma Jane, Helen Augusta and Lincoln Rowe.

5. Abel W. Noyes b. Nov. 20, 1818 Le Roy, Genesee, NY d. July 5, 1888 m. Mary E. Thomas b. Oct. 30, 1822 d. Mar. 11, 1898 Abel served in the Civil War 95th regiment of Illinois volunteers. He moved to McHenry County, IL in 1837 and in 1859 crossed the plains to California, but did not remain there. 7 Children: William H, Sophia H, Hannah S. Eliza Jane, Lucy C., Herbert J, and Justine M Noyes.

After Sophia's husband died, it was her son, Charles Augustus Noyes, who took care of his mother, declining more education even though he believed very much in education.
