ABEL⁷ NOYES (Moses⁶, Joseph⁵, ⁴, ³, Rev James ², Rev. William¹) was the son of Moses Noyes and Elizabeth Eaton.

On April 14, 1808 in Sudbury, Middlesex County, MA, Abel Noyes married Sophia⁵ Shepard Hatch (1788-1850)(Timothy⁴, Benjamin ³, Jonathan², Thomas¹) daughter of Timothy Hatch and Abigail Porter (1768-1824) , daughter. of Moses Porter and Sarah Kilham (1742-1843).

1. William Henry Noyes b. 1809 d. 1833 (unmarried)

2. Charles⁸ Augustus Noyes Sr. b. 3 Sep 1812, Cooperstown, Owsego, New York; d. 25 Nov 1881, Geneva, Walworth, Wisconsin  m. Jan. 23, 1837 to Nancy P. Warren. Children:
Helen Augusta, Mary Elizabeth, Charles Augustus, Jr. Josephine Amanda the last child, had died early. Profession: Business man (my 3rd Great Grandfather)

3. Sophia Hatch Noyes b. July 5, 1814 d. July 5 1896 m. April 11, 1839 David Hibbard Hinsdell at Pompey Hill, Onondaga County, NY, son of Moses Hinsdell and Rachel Hibbard. Sophia helped her brother, Charles, after his wife Nancy P Warren died by helping raise my 3rd great grandmother Mary Elizabeth Noyes. They had considerable wealth and means and were a blessing to Mary. Sophia and David had 4 children of their own: Twins, Sarah Elizabeth (Hinsdell) May and Henry David Hinsdell , Charles Augustus and Henry .

4. Eliza Noyes b. Dec. 1, 1816 LeRoy, Genesee, NY d. Jun 23, 1875 Roscoe, Winnebago, IL m. 1834 Daniel "Dan" Rowe, b. May 26, 1813, died Feb. 3, 1878 . Children: Charles, Mary Sophia, John Henry, George Augustus, Jane Rowe, William Clark, Asa Charles, Edward, Emma Jane, Helen Augusta and Lincoln Rowe. Dan was Justice of the Peace (1865) in Walworth Co., WI.

5. Abel W. Noyes b. Nov. 20, 1818 Le Roy, Genesee, NY d. July 5, 1888 m. Mary E. Thomas b. Oct. 30, 1822 d. Mar. 11, 1898 Abel served in the Civil War 95th regiment of Illinois volunteers. He moved to McHenry County, IL in 1837 and in 1859 crossed the plains to California, but did not remain there. 7 Children: William H, Sophia H, Hannah S., Eliza Jane, Lucy C., Herbert J, and Justine M Noyes.
