Carey (Cap) McCarty, 80, of Rt. 2,
Flora, died Friday morning, Jan. 6,
1978, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital,
Kokomo.
Born April 23, 1897, in Cutler, he was
the son of James and Lydia Eaton
McCarty. He was married May 11,1918,
to Mary Wilson, who died in July of
1974.
A farmer and retired employee of the
Delphi Body Shop, he was a member of
the former Mount Olive Church.
Surviving are a son, Max McCarty of
Kokomo; two sisters, Amy Baird of
Gary and Laura Larimore of
California, and a granddaughter, Tracy
McCarty of Kokomo.
Services were Sunday at the Carter-
Baker Funeral Home, Flora. Burial
was in Ball Hill Cemetery.
