MRS. EMMA MCCARTY DEAD
Mrs. Emma McCarty, one of the highly beloved ladies of the Cutler, Indiana vicinity died at her home northwest of Cutler Tuesday morning at 6:30 from heart trouble and a complication of diseases at the age of 58 years, 9 months and 16 days. She had been ailing for almost eight years. her last sickness however, had existed since February 9th, this year. She was the wife of James McCarty. They were married 38 years ago and were the parents of eight children, six of whom survive. They are: Amy, Cleo and James M., Jr., living at home; Earl McCarty of near Bringhurst; Carey McCarty of near Cutler; and Mrs. Cline Larimore of East San Diego, California. She also leaves six grandchildren. Jane, Merill, Larimore, Max A. McCarty, Robert and Ray Reem. The last two named have resided with their grandparents the past eight years. Two brothers: G.E. Eaton of West of Bringhurst and Sam Eaton of Pasadena, California; two sisters: Mrs. J.L. Early of Nappanee, Indiana and Mrs. Earl Cleaver of South Dakota and the aged mother also survive. Deceased was a member of the Mt. Olivet M.E. Church. Funeral services were held at the Ball Hill Church at two o'clock Thursday afternoon. Interment was made in the Ball Hill Cemetery.
