Mrs. Ova Haile Anderson, 71, died on December 29, 1958 at her home in the Forks of Creek community where she had been a resident her entire life with the exception of two years when she lived at Granville. Death came after and extended illness.
Funeral services were held from the Church of Christ at Gainesboro on January 31 and interment was at the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery. Officiating were J.B. Gaither and Carl Gossett.
She had been a member of the Church of Christ since girlhood.
A daughter of the late Fulton and Mary Ragland Haile, she married Walter T. Anderson, who survives, in 1905.
Other survivors include five sons, Carl T. and Draper Anderson, Nashville, Claude and J.C. Anderson, Gainesboro, and Lewis Anderson, Lafayette; four daughters, Mrs. Robert Lee Anderson, Gallatin. Mrs. Baugh Lynch, Hartsville, Mrs. Vestle Roberts, Gainesboro, and Mrs. Willard West, Detroit; four brothers, W.T. and Frank Haile, Gainesboro, Russell Haile, Cookeville, and Patterson Haile, Sparta; five sisters, Mrs. Tom Brown, Gainesboro, Mrs. Tilman Birdwell and Mrs. Tilford Birdwell, Bellflower, CA, Mrs. Arlis Billinsley, Detroit, MI and Mrs. James Price, Sparta.
