Mr. Anderson died Sunday, May 16, 1971, in Jackson County Hospital following a brief illness. He was 85 years of age.
A native of Jackson County, he was the son of the late James H. and Mary Ann Fuqua Anderson.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include five sons; Cart T. and Draper Anderson, both of Nashville, Lewis Anderson of Pleasant Shade; Claude and J.C. Anderson, both of Gainesboro; four daughters, Mrs. Doyle Lee Anderson of Gallatin, Mrs. Dolan Lynch of Hartsville, Mrs. Eudell Roberts and Dorothy West, both of Cookeville; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
