ANDERSON, R. Draper, 87, a native of Flynns Lick, TN and a longtime resident of Nashville, TN passed away June 23, 2011. He was a WWII veteran serving in the European Theatre as a Platoon Sergeant in the 101st Infantry, 26th Division, General George S Patton's 3rd Army. After his honorable discharge from the US Army, he worked as Vice President in sales for Ambrose Printing Company where he was employed for 42 years. He also served two terms as Trustee in Jackson County TN. His hobbies included reading WWII history, traveling, and taking cruises with his wife. In 1999 Mr. Anderson and his son journeyed to Germany and retraced the actual combat zones he experienced during WWII. Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Treva; four brothers: Carl, Claude, James and Lewis Anderson and three sisters: Doyle Anderson, Dolan Lynch, and Dorothy West. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
