COOKEVILLE Memorial services for Dorothy Bryan West, 83, will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9, from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. West died on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at Bethesda Health Care Center.
She was born on Feb. 24, 1920, in Jackson County to the late Walter and Ova Haile Anderson.
Her family includes a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Cindy West of Cookeville; a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Tommie Puckett of Cookeville; two sisters, Doyle Branam of Gallatin and Eudelle Roberts of Cookeville; two brothers, Claude Anderson of Jackson County and Draper Anderson of Nashville; two grandsons and spouses, Adam and Heather West of Cookeville and Travis and Crystal West of Livingston; a great-grandson, Chandler West of Cookeville; two great-granddaughters, Bailey West of Livingston and Shai Gaw of Livingston; and a special niece, Carolyn Rush.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Willard West; three brothers, Carl, J.C. (Jelly) and Lewis Anderson; and a sister, Dolan Norton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommie Puckett, Adam, Travis and Chandler West, Karl Wagnon, William Horner, Tommy Rush and Jack Rice.
