Alta Fleming Shaver, 70, of Heaters, Braxton County, died Friday in Charleston Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
She was a member of the Heaters United Methodist Church. Mrs. Shaver was active in church and community affairs. She had been a Charleston resident for 35 years before moving to Braxton County.
Surviving: husband, Frank; daughter, Mrs. Alice Ann Behr of Charleston; sisters, Mrs. Letha Rose of Heaters, Mrs. Grace Strother of Clarksburg, Mrs. Thelma Gregory of St. Albans, Mrs. Madge Harrocks of Dunbar.
Service will be Sunday at 2 pm in the Heaters United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Heathers Cemetery.
