Letha Fleming Rose, 93, of Heaters, Braxton County, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 1996, in the personal care home of Michael and Kelli Dean, near Buckhannon.

She was a former employee of A&L stores, Clarksburg. She was a member of Queen Ester Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Clarksburg, a charter member of United Hospital Auxiliary, a leader in the Republican Party and the Historical Society of Braxton County. She was a former member of First United Methodist Church, Clarksburg, the United Methodist Women and was a 45-year member of Tichenel United Methodist Church, near Heaters.

Surviving: husband, Charley O Rose; daughter, June Rose Simmons of Buckhannon; sisters, Mrs. Herbert Gregory of St Albans, Mrs. Paul Strother of Clarksburg, Mrs. Edward Horrocks of Dunbar; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren.

Service will be 11 am Thursday at Tichenel United Methodist Church, near Heaters, with the Rev. Charles Godwin, the Rev. Ressie Robison and the Rev. Vaughn James officiating. Burial will be in Heaters Cemetery.
