Roy James Fleming, 53, of Clarksburg, WV, a retired employee of Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co, died in a local hospital January 10, 1972 at 3:25 a.m. following an extended illness.

He was born at Heaters, Braxton Co, WV, August 25, 1918, a son of the Late Homer A and Pearl Williams Fleming.

Surviving are his wife: Mrs. Mary Naylor Fleming; two daughters; Mrs. Frank W (Mary Helen) McGahan, Clarksburg, WV and Miss Millicent Fleming, at home; two grandsons: Bryon and Brad McGahan; two brothers; Claude I Fleming, Heaters and Clyde H Fleming, Youngstown, OH; five Sisters: Mrs. CO(Letha) Rose, Mrs. Frank (Alta) Shaver, and Mrs. Herbert (Thelma) Gregory, Bulltown, WV; Mrs. Edward (Madge)Harrocks, Dunbar, WV; and Mrs. Paul (Grace) Strother, Clarksburg. He was proceeded in death by a brother, Cecil Fleming.

Mr. Fleming was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church, Clarksburg, Lodge No. 155, A.F. and A.M.; Adoniram Chapter 11, Royal Arch Masons; and Clarksburg Commandery 13 Knights Templar. He was a Scottish Rite Mason and membership in Clarksburg and Wheeling Bodies. He was a veteran of WW II, having served in the 101st Airborne Division, and a member of Meuse-Argonne Post No 573, VFW.

Friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home after 7 pm Tuesday. Funeral services will be held Thursday Jan. 13, at the Christ Episcopal Church at 10 am with Father David C Bane, rector of the church officiating.

The body will be removed to the Berry Fork Chapel, near Heaters to lie in state from 1:30- 2:30 pm Thursday afternoon. Interment services will follow in the Heaters Cemetery, with the Rev Robert Robinson, conducting. Military rites will be held at the graveside by the Army Recruiters of Glenville.
