Claude Isaac (Carter) Fleming, 65, of Monongah, Marion Co, formerly of Heaters, died Thursday en route to Fairmont General Hospital apparently of a heart attack.

He was a World War II veteran, a retired employee of the Braxton County Board of Education, a member of Heaters United Methodist Church, Disabled American Veterans, and West Virginia Retired Teacher's Assn.

Surviving: wife. Ileen Naomi: sons, John of Fairmont, James of Garrettsville, OH, Jerry of Rivesville: sisters. Mrs. Letha Rose of Heaters, Mrs. Thelma Gregory of St. Albans, Mrs. Grace Strothers of Clarksburg, Mrs. Madge Harrocks of Dunbar and brother Bud of Youngstown, OH.

Service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Heaters United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Robison officiating. Burial will be in Heaters Cemetery.
