HARDESTY, Okla. – Harriette Ellen MORRIS, 87, longtime Hardesty, Oklahoma area resident, died May 12, 1995 at Del Ray Beach, Florida.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 16 at Apostolic Faith Church in Hardesty, with Rev. Jim Fox, minister of Apostolic Church in Balko, Oklahoma, and Rev. Harrol Waterbury, pastor of Full Gospel Church in Perryton, officiating. Burial followed in Range Cemetery under the direction of Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.

She was born October 31, 1907 in Greensburg, Kansas, and married Joseph Oscar "Joe" MORRIS on February 24, 1929 in Panhandle. They lived in Texhoma for a short time until making their home on the family ranch east of Hardesty. He husband died in 1993. She was a member of Apostolic Faith Church in Hardesty.

She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Alpha May MORRIS, who died in 1933; and a daughter, Clara Jo SHORB, who died in 1991; and seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Jim MORRIS of Perryton; two daughters, Julia HAMNER of Del Ray Beach, Florida and Roeann GIBSON of Ponca City, Oklahoma; one sister, Irene BAUGH of Texhoma; one brother, Leonard RHODEN of Phoenix, Arizona; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Harriette Morris Memorial has been established for Range Cemetery. Memorials will be accepted at Henson-Novak Funeral Home, Box 1306, Guymon, OK 73942.
