Funeral Services for Mrs. Clara Rhoden, 80, long time resident of Texhoma, will be conducted from the First Christian church there at 2:30 p m Wednesday with pastor, Allen H Duffey, officiating. Interment will be in Texhoma Cemetery under direction of the Dawson Funeral home. Mrs. Rhoden was born in Belle Plain, Mo., Nov 4, 1876, the daughter of Mr and Mrs. Solomon Valentine. She was married to John C. Rhoden on Oct. 27, 1895 in Sealey, Kan. Death came Saturday night following a lingering illness. The family moved to Texhoma in 1920 and has resided there since. Mrs. Rhoden has been a member of the Christian church for 62 years, and a member of the First Christian church of Texhoma during her residence there. She was a member of the Texhoma Rebekah Lodge No. 290. Surviving are four sons and four daughters, Frank of Texhoma: Bud of Anadarko, Leonard of Inglewood, Colo.: Mrs. Mamie Schrambling, Mrs. C. T. Williams and Mrs. W. R. Howard all of Texhoma and Mrs. Joe Morris of Hardesty: one brother, Lee Valentine of Sharon; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Rusher of Springfield, Mo., and Mrs. Daisy Ghetz of Topeka, Kans., 21 grandchildren and 23
great grandchildren.
