Born March 5, 1906, in Greensburg, Kan., hè was tħè soň of Jöhń and Clara Rhoden. The family moved to Texhoma in 1920. On June 26, 1926, he married Maude Eichelberger. His lifetime occupation was mechanic with his reputation as a good mechanic covering a large area. He and his wife operated the Ritz Theater and cleaned the local bank for many years. He was preceded in death by five brothers, John, Earl, Earnest, Everett and Melvin; one sister, Mamie Schrambling; and brother-in-law, Joe Morris. Survivors include his wife, Maud of the home; his son, Delmar and wife, Vi, of Velrico, Fla.; one grandson, Steve, and wife, Troy, of Tomball, Texas; one brother, Leonard of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three sisters, Harriett Morris of Hardesty and Irene Baugh and Elizabeth Howard of Texhoma; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 17, at 2 p.m. from the United Methodist Church of Texhoma with Charles Sapp officiating. Burial will be in Texhoma Cemetery under direction of Dawson Welch Funeral Home.
