The daughter of John and Clara Rhoden she was born Dec. 17, 1913 near Belva. She moved to Texhoma in 1920 with her parents and attended Texhoma Schools.
She married Bill Howard Aug. 18, 1934. To this union came three children; John Richard, Billie and Bettie.
She was a Rebekkah.
She is preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Mervin, Frank, Everette, Earl, Bud and John; one sister, Mamie Schrambling and one son, John Richard.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; two daughters, Billie and and her husband, Fred
Whitley Jr. of West Columbia, Texas; Bettie and husband, Victor Randell of Temple, Texas, two sisters, Irene Baugh, Texhoma and Harriet Morris of Delray Beach, Flo.; one brother, Leonard Rhoden of Scottsdale, Az; 11 grandchildren, Butch, Glenn and Jimmie Stumpner, Judy Huffman, Patricia McCarty, Michelle Green, Deonna Whitley, Larry Herald Jr., Edie Lutt and Victor and Michael Randell; 17 great-grandchildren; ; three sisters - in-law, Maude Rhoden, Texhoma, Exie Rhoden, Denver, Colo. and Lorraine Rhoden, Anadarko and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 10, 1995 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Texhoma with Jerry Morris officiating
Interment will be in the Texhoma Cemetery with Dawson Welch Funeral Home officiating.
The family suggests memorials be given to the Texhoma Educational Foundation. Memorials will be accepted by Dawson-Welch Funeral Home, Texhoma, Ok.
