Services for Stanley James Parker, 80, of Redding will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Lawncrest Chapel in Redding.

The Rev. John Retzer of Mountain Gate Community Church will officiate.

Burial will be at Lawncrest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lawncrest Chapel.

Mr. Parker died Thursday, May 28, 1992, at Beverly Manor Convalescent Hospital in Redding.

Born Jan. 9, 1912, in Arcadia, Neb., he moved to Shasta County in 1974 from Hawaiian Gardens. He was a mechanic, a member of the Teamsters Union Local 137 in Redding, and a member of Mountain Gate Community Church.

He is survived by wife Eva; son James of Riverside; Robert of Alice, Texas; sisters Dora Fowler of Fallon, Nev., Ada Vaughn of Abilene, Texas, and Florence Elliott of Aztec, N.M.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
