Transcribed from the book Fairfield South Carolina Cemeteries Volume I Western Section of County, page 50 (Fairfield Baptist-Highway 213). Per the book: he was a son of Samuel & Lillie Estelle Young.

Per his death certificate found on Ancestry.com: he was a son of Samuel Timms and Lillie Young. He never married. He was a grocery store operator. He resided at R. F. D. 1 in Winnsboro and died there of a coronary thrombosis. The informant was Mrs. T. T Boulware.

Found in The State (Columbia, SC) 28 February 1959: Winnsboro (Special)-Chalmers Samuel Timms, 65, died late Thursday night at his home on Route 1, Winnsboro, of a heart attack suffered earlier in the day. Funeral services will be conducted at the Fairfield Baptist Cemetery at 4:30 Saturday afternoon by the Rev. Ralph Brewington and Dr. Ralph E. Lattimore. The body is at the home.

His WWI Draft Registration Card provided his place of birth.
